Over the past month, I have been asked this question oh so very many times. So I thought I’d do a short series of posts elaborating on the services that a virtual assistant can do.
What is a VA?
I’ve covered it before but I’ll cover it again. So those in the back, please listen up.
A VA (or Virtual Assist) is a skilled professional able to provide specific skills to a client on a contract basis. The description is literally right there in the name…a remote/virtual assistant. I have no idea where I saw this, so I take no credit and can’t give any, but I absolutely loved this description:
Management of all emails. Delegating this responsibility means that any emails you’d rather not handle can be tended to on your behalf. Considering that this is one of the tasks that can take the largest chunk out of your day, would you not rather use your time more efficiently and delegate?
A Virtual Assistant can be tasked with managing your calendar, thus ensuring that you never miss an appointment or are double booked. This is an especially good idea if planning is not your strong suit. Allow your VA to schedule your appointments and help plan your day and tasks.
This refers to the creation and management of a blog or website. For many, this service is a huge lifesaver. Trust me when I say that creating content is VERY time-consuming. If it’s not something you’re good at or enjoy doing, it can be a really treacherous task. Why not have a VA doing it for you and spend that time doing something more important?
As many know from school and further studies, research can be a very long and boring exercise. Unless you’re a crazy freak like me who actually got excited when doing assignments. Yes I know, I’m a great big nerd…does not change the fact that I actually enjoy it. This very creepy trait makes me efficient and accurate when given this kind of task. Luckily I am not the only one, which is another really good assignment to delegate to a VA.
That’s it for now…
That’s it for part one. No, I don’t know how many there will be…I’ll see how it goes. I really hope I’ll manage to answer some questions with this little series. Feel free to contact us to see how we can simplify your life a bit.
